IES Mission

To create clean, reliable and resilient

community energy systems.

cfiles32342.jpg

IES designs, builds, and supports renewable energy technologies to benefit Alaska villages and other Arctic communities with isolated, stand-alone utilities who only have themselves to rely upon.

Working with a community is at the heart of what IES does. Together we map out a community's workable future to reduce both its use of diesel fuel and its energy costs. The result greatly increases the sustainability of the community and its utility.

IES specializes in renewable/wind-diesel hybrid utilities. We then add components to create resilient and reliable utility systems. We do this in some of the world’s harshest conditions in the remote Arctic.

With our more than 15 years of success, IES has gained recognition as a statewide and national leader in wind-diesel integration, microgrid deployment, and technology innovation. Our Anchorage-based team brings decades of experience in the fields of engineering, project management, grants administration, education and training, and financial management.
